Life isn't really the sweetest at most times. Often, when it seems like the world is just getting too much, I look around and find individuals who continued to live interesting and wonderful lives. And then thoughts come into my mind from almost nowhere. I question with envy as to how could their lives ended up being so exceptionally sweet and happy. How come they still can manage to laugh and mess around despite a hectic stressful life?

The Joy Of Spending time with nature

Then I stopped and observed that possibly, they begin to deal with something from within. So is it not possible that to become genuinely happy, one needs to love yourself first?

There is no doubt that real happiness refers to contentment. When you are satisfied with the job you have, the way you appear to the world and to your friends, where you live, the vehicle you driving, and all the other things you now have, then you could be possibly be happy.

When we discover that something mysterious is taking shape from somewhere within ourselves, it can ultimately lead to new thought patterns, and new actions. If you however keep questioning life, like it has never done you any good, you will certainly never ever have the ability to go beyond your shortcomings and find real happiness.

I truly believe that life is about learning what is right and wrong, failing and trying, winning and losing. These are natural and important experiences because failure in a person's life is needed in order to become a stronger person. However this must not prevent us from ending up being happy. Whenever you put in effort to improve the quality of life and your very being, whether it is cleaning up your room, assisting a buddy, or taking care of your sick dog, life provides you with a more compassionate insight.

Think of life as a huge score board, and whenever you advance, you make more points. Would it not be good to look at that board at the end of each time period and think to yourself that you at least got a point today?

Genuine happiness isn't about driving the most popular luxury vehicle, nor getting the employee of the year award, or beating the sales targets at work. Occasionally, the most searched for prizes in life doesn't always go to the fastest, the greatest, the bravest or even the best.

Everybody has his own definition of being happy. Happiness for a writer may mean introducing as much best-selling books as possible, whilst for a beggar may suggest a great deal of cash, or for a business man it might imply organisational success.

So how do we end up being genuinely happy?

You don't actually need to have the very best belongings in this world. It is about doing and making the very best from every single thing. When you discover yourself smiling at your own mistakes and informing yourself that you will do much better next time, you then bring to the fore, a certain power to stand firm.
